What it is
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the state-level ministerial department that manages the country's international relations and diplomatic missions abroad. Operating under policy directives set by the collective Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it executes foreign policy, negotiates international treaties, protects citizen interests abroad, and facilitates Euro-Atlantic integration. Following wartime diplomacy under the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the modern institutional body was formalized in 1997 pursuant to the post-war administrative framework created by the Dayton Peace Agreement.
