About this map
World events map: a geopolitical intelligence and political risk tracker
This is an interactive world map that tracks political and institutional change across countries in near real time. Every dot is a real, sourced event, placed on the city and country where it happened and linked to the institution involved and the people named in it. Open the map to see how power, policy and diplomacy move from day to day.
Freshness: the data is refreshed as close to real time as possible, so the map shows the latest reported changes as soon as they are available.
What it tracks
- Government and state personnel changes (PEP): appointments, dismissals, resignations, retirements, elections, government formation, coalition changes, ambassador rotations and the death of public figures.
- Law and regulation: new national and international legislative acts.
- International relations and economy: treaties, sanctions, alliances, trade agreements, tariffs, summits and diplomatic breaks.
Who it is for
- Analysts and researchers following political risk and country exposure.
- Compliance, AML and KYC teams who need to follow changes in politically exposed persons (PEP), the office-holders behind them and the institutions they serve.
- Journalists and OSINT investigators who need a geolocated, source-cited feed of political events.
- Anyone who wants a live, big-picture view of how power and policy move around the world.
How to use it
Pick a time range (from the last 24 hours to a full quarter). Click any dot to see the event, the institution and the people involved, the date and a source. Dots with more than one event show a count you can browse. Zoom in to move from the global picture to a single country or city.

How to use this map
1. Choose a time range
Use the buttons above the map: Last 24h, Last 7 days, Last 30 days (default) or Quarter. The map and the event count update instantly. Your last choice is remembered, so the map opens the same way on your next visit.
2. Read the dots
- Each dot is one event at that location. Its colour shows the type (see the legend under the map).
- A number on a dot means several events share that place. Click it and use the arrows (‹ ›) to browse them one by one.
- Zoom in to separate dots that sit close together; zoom out for the global picture. The view auto-fits the selected range.
3. Open an event
Click a dot to see the event: its type, title, date and place, the institution involved (linked to its page), the people named with their roles, and a link to the source. Use Source to verify the item yourself.
4. Go deeper
- World Events lists the same events as a filterable table by country and type.
- World Structure leads to each institution, its description and the events linked to it.
5. Tips
- Start wide (30 days or a quarter) to spot hotspots, then narrow to Last 24h to catch what is fresh.
- Filter by country or type in the World Events table when the map feels crowded.
- Colours follow event type, so check the legend to tell a reshuffle from a sanction.
