What it is
The Port Authority of Montenegro (Lučka uprava Crne Gore) was a state administrative agency responsible for the development, maintenance, and regulation of ports of national importance in Montenegro. Operating under the ministry responsible for maritime affairs, its mandate included managing port infrastructure, granting concessions, and supervising commercial port operations and service standards. Established under the Law on Ports in 2008, the agency operated independently until 2019, when it was merged with the Maritime Safety Administration to form the unified Maritime Safety and Port Management Administration (UPSUL).
