Tolga MunicipalityGovernment

Tolga Municipality (Tolga kommune) is a local government administrative body in Innlandet county, Norway, responsible for local public administration, primary education, elder care, and spatial planning. It was established as a municipality in 1838 under the Formannskapsdistrikt act that introduced local self-government across Norway. In 1966, Tolga was merged with neighboring Os into the unified municipality of Tolga-Os, but it regained its independent municipal status a decade later in 1976.
