The Republic Geodetic Authority (Republički geodetski zavod - RGZ) is a specialized state administrative organization in Serbia responsible for professional geodetic works, the state real estate cadastre, and national spatial data infrastructure. Its mandate includes conducting state land surveys, maintaining property rights registrations, valuing real estate, and providing digital geographic cartography for public and commercial use. While geodetic activities in Serbia trace their historical origin to 1837 under Prince Miloš Obrenović's decree on land surveying, the unified modern authority was established in November 1992 through the Law on State Survey and Cadastre.
