The Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) Margareten, officially known as Die Volkspartei Margareten, is the district branch of the center-right Austrian People's Party in Vienna's 5th municipal district. Its mandate focuses on representing local residents in the Margaretner district council (Bezirksvertretung), advocating for local commerce, public safety, and urban development. Established alongside the reconstitution of Austrian democratic structures following the founding of the federal and Viennese ÖVP in 1945, it historically served as one of the key bourgeois political forces in a traditionally working-class and Social Democratic-led district.
