Office of the President of the Republic of FinlandGovernment

The Office of the President of the Republic of Finland is the state agency responsible for assisting the Finnish head of state in executing official duties and administrative functions. Its mandate encompasses supporting the president's constitutional responsibilities, notably the joint leadership of Finland's foreign and security policy in cooperation with the Government and serving as commander-in-chief of the Defence Forces. Established in 1919 following the adoption of Finland's republican constitution, the office supported its first president, Kaarlo Juho Ståhlberg, as the nation transitioned to a constitutional republic.
