What it is
The Cabinet of Greece, officially known as the Ministerial Council, is the supreme collegial executive body of the Hellenic Republic, consisting of the Prime Minister, appointed ministers, and deputy ministers. It is mandated by the Constitution to formulate and direct general government policy, oversee public administration, and exercise executive authority alongside the President. Tracing its origins to the provisional executive established by the First National Assembly of Epidaurus in 1822, the cabinet transitioned into a modern parliamentary council following the 1843 constitutional revolution.
