Institute for Medicines and Medical Devices of MontenegroGovernment

The Institute for Medicines and Medical Devices of Montenegro (CInMED) is the national regulatory authority and scientific research organization responsible for human and veterinary pharmaceuticals as well as medical devices in Montenegro. It is mandated to assess quality, safety, and efficacy through marketing authorizations, laboratory testing, pharmacovigilance, and compliance inspections aligned with European Union standards. Originally founded by government decree in 2008 as the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices (CALIMS), it was later legally restructured under the Law on Medicines into its present institutional framework with an expanded mandate for scientific research.
