What it is
The Scientific Council for Government Policy (Wetenschappelijke Raad voor het Regeringsbeleid, WRR) is an independent advisory body to the Dutch government and parliament. Its mandate is to provide science-based, strategic advice on critical long-term societal and cross-sectoral policy developments. Established provisionally in 1972, its permanent legal foundation was formally codified by statute in 1976.
