Prefect's Institution of Constanța CountyGovernment

The Prefect's Institution of Constanța County is the territorial representative of the Government of Romania in Constanța County. It is mandated to oversee the enforcement of national laws, coordinate decentralized public services of ministries, and verify the legality of administrative acts issued by local authorities. Established in 1878 following the reintegration of Northern Dobruja into the Romanian state, Remus Opreanu was appointed as its first prefect.
