Gas Exporting Countries ForumInternational

The Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) is an intergovernmental organization of leading natural gas producing nations, including Russia, Iran, and Qatar. Its mandate is to foster coordination and dialogue among member states, enhance energy security, and promote natural gas as a sustainable energy source. Originally established during a ministerial meeting in Tehran in 2001, the forum formally transitioned into a structured international organization following the adoption of its statute in Moscow in 2008.
