What it is
The Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan is the supreme executive authority of the Republic of Bashkortostan, a federal subject of the Russian Federation. Led by the Prime Minister and accountable to the Head of the Republic, its mandate encompasses administering socio-economic policy, state property, public health, education, and regional budget execution. Historically, its institutional lineage traces back to the autonomous Bashkir Government established in December 1917 and the subsequent Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic founded in 1919, before its modern constitutional framework was instituted in 1993.
