The Ministry of Education, Science and Youth is a government ministry of the Republic of Slovenia responsible for the national education system from preschool through higher education, scientific research, and youth policy. Its mandate includes formulating educational standards, funding research institutions, ensuring curriculum quality, and managing youth engagement and welfare programs. Established in 2026 during the administrative restructuring of the 16th Government of Slovenia, the ministry reunified portfolios previously separated in 2023 and traces its historical lineage back to the founding of Slovenia's first education ministry in 1990.
