What it is
The Protocol of the Republic of Slovenia (Protokol Republike Slovenije) is a specialized state administrative service within the Secretariat-General of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia. Its mandate is to plan, organize, and execute diplomatic, ceremonial, and official protocol events, state visits by foreign heads of state and government, national ceremonies, and credentials presentations. Tracing its operational roots to the emergence of the independent Slovenian state in 1991, the institution was formally reconstituted into its modern autonomous service framework under a dedicated government decree published in early 2010.
