What it is
The Slovenian Tourist Board (Slovenska turistična organizacija) is Slovenia's national tourism agency responsible for planning and implementing tourism promotion, market research, and sustainable development. Established in 1995 as the Centre for the Promotion of Tourism of Slovenia following the country's independence, it was later merged into the public agency SPIRIT Slovenia in 2013 before being re-established as an independent public agency in 2015.
