What it is

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is a cabinet-level government ministry of Turkey responsible for national agricultural policy, rural development, water resources, food safety, and forest conservation. Originally established in 1924 following the foundation of the Republic of Turkey, its institutional origins trace back to the Ottoman Empire's Ministry of Agriculture formed in 1846.
