Ministry of Education, Sport and YouthGovernment

The Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth is the central government department responsible for formulating and implementing national policy regarding education, athletics, and youth affairs in the Republic of Cyprus. It oversees the state's school curricula, educational institutions, and sports development programs from pre-primary through higher education. Established in 1965 following the dissolution of the Greek Communal Chamber, it played a critical role in organizing emergency tent schools to maintain schooling after the 1974 Turkish invasion.
