What it is
The Prime Minister's Office of Hungary (Miniszterelnökség) is a central government body and ministry responsible for supporting the Prime Minister and coordinating overall government policy and public administration. It manages strategic planning, EU fund coordination, and inter-ministerial cooperation across executive agencies. Tracing its historical roots to the first responsible Hungarian ministry established in 1848, the institution was reconstituted in its modern post-communist form in 1990 and reorganized into a ministerial-rank department in 2010.
