Gorzów Wielkopolski City CouncilLocal authority

The Gorzów Wielkopolski City Council (Rada Miasta Gorzowa Wielkopolskiego) is the municipal legislative and oversight body for the city of Gorzów Wielkopolski in western Poland. It is responsible for passing local ordinances, adopting the municipal budget, and overseeing the actions of the city mayor. While the city's municipal council dates back historically to 1297 under German rule as Landsberg an der Warthe, the modern democratic council was re-established in 1990 following the fall of communism.
