What it is
The PZU SA Supervisory Board is the collegiate governing and supervisory body of Powszechny Zakład Ubezpieczeń SA, Poland's largest financial services group and a state-controlled enterprise. Its primary mandate is to exercise continuous oversight over all areas of the company's operations, approve major corporate transactions, and appoint or dismiss members of the Management Board. The supervisory body was constituted when the historical state insurer was transformed into a joint-stock company in December 1991, with roots tracing back to Poland's first insurance company founded in 1803.
