What it is

The Fifth Territorial Military Court (Tribunal Militar Territorial Quinto) is a regional military judicial body in Spain headquartered in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It exercises jurisdiction over criminal offenses and disciplinary matters involving members of the Spanish Armed Forces and the Civil Guard across the Canary Islands. Established under Organic Law 4/1987 of the Military Jurisdiction, it replaced the pre-constitutional military regional tribunals to align military justice with the 1978 Spanish Constitution under the oversight of the Supreme Court.
