What it is

The Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic is the lower house of the country's bicameral Parliament, consisting of 200 deputies elected for four-year terms. Established in 1993 following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, the chamber directly succeeded the Czech National Council that had operated since 1969.
