What it is
The Tripartite Coordination Committee (Comité de coordination tripartite) is a central social dialogue institution in Luxembourg that brings together government representatives, trade unions, and employers' organizations. Its mandate is to build national consensus on economic and social policy, employment, and wage indexing, particularly during economic crises. Established formally by law on December 24, 1977, it originated in response to the severe steel crisis of the 1970s to avert mass unemployment.
