What it is
The Colorado Supreme Court is the highest court in the U.S. state of Colorado, serving as the court of last resort for state appellate matters. It holds the constitutional mandate to review legal decisions from lower courts, supervise Colorado's judicial branch, and regulate the legal profession across the state. Established in 1876 upon Colorado's admission to statehood, the court succeeded earlier territorial tribunals originally created in 1861 under President Abraham Lincoln.
