What it is
The Delaware Department of Technology and Information (DTI) is a cabinet-level agency within the executive branch of the State of Delaware, led by the state's Chief Information Officer. Its statutory mandate is to manage statewide information technology strategy, oversee enterprise infrastructure and cloud systems, safeguard public digital assets through robust cybersecurity, and deliver digital government services for state agencies and citizens. Created in July 2001 under Senate Bill 215 to replace the legacy Office of Information Services (OIS), DTI was established with unique internal personnel and procurement flexibilities modeled after private sector technology enterprises.
