The Upper Colorado River Authority Board of Directors is the governing body of the Upper Colorado River Authority, a regional water conservation and reclamation district in West-Central Texas. Appointed by the Governor of Texas, the nine-member board is responsible for overseeing water resource management, watershed protection, flood control, and water quality testing across the upper Colorado River basin. The authority was established in 1935 by the 44th Texas Legislature during the New Deal era to manage regional water supplies and mitigate catastrophic flooding.
