The Walton County Tax Collector's Office is an independent constitutional local government agency in Walton County, Florida. It is responsible for the collection and distribution of local property taxes, as well as administering motor vehicle registrations, driver licenses, and various state licensing services. Established as an independently elected county constitutional office under the Florida Constitution of 1885, it operates separate from the county commission to serve the county, which itself dates back to 1824.
