What it is
The Agency for Societal Security (Danish: Styrelsen for Samfundssikkerhed) is a Danish public authority operating under the Ministry of Resilience and Preparedness. Its mandate is to strengthen Denmark's overall national resilience and crisis preparedness against critical infrastructure threats, cyberattacks, supply chain disruptions, and major civil emergencies. The agency was established in January 2025, consolidating responsibilities from the former Agency for Security of Supply (Styrelsen for Forsyningssikkerhed) and several national security and digital resilience units following the creation of the dedicated ministry in late 2024.
